Millions of passengers pass through the expansive spaces of Hong Kong International Airport’s Terminal 1 every year, where reliable lighting is essential to a seamless travel experience. To support this landmark aviation hub, SPL Lighting delivered over 4,800 D4i luminaires integrated with a smart lighting management system powered by DALI-over-wireless (Zigbee + 5G), illuminating approximately 570,000 m² with stable and reliable wireless performance.

The integrated solution enables real-time monitoring, intelligent lighting control, seamless Building Management System (BMS) integration, and minimal rewiring, improving operational efficiency while supporting long-term sustainability. This project showcases SPL Lighting’s expertise in delivering integrated lighting and control solutions for large-scale infrastructure.
